Amboseli National Park is a renowned wildlife conservation area located in southern Kenya, near the border with Tanzania. The park covers an area of approximately 392 square kilometers (151 square miles) and is known for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, which is just across the border in Tanzania.
Established as a protected area in 1974, Amboseli National Park is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service. Some of the most iconic animals found in the park include African elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous species of birds.
